Description
The TuffRider Starter Carbon Fiber Print Helmet ranked #2 Overall during the Virginia Tech helmet study offers an ABS outer shell that provides strength and protection against possible impacts and helps to distribute and absorb the force of impact during a fall, in turn reducing the risk of injury. The high quality EPS inner layer adds extra protection by reducing the amount of energy transferred to a rider's head during an impact. The stainless steel mesh covered ventilation openings add extra strength to the helmet. Three strategically placed large ventilation openings will keep you comfortable and dry while the washable Coolmax liner wicks away the sweat. The adjustable padded chin strap paired with the comfortable nylon reinforced harness creates a safe, snug fit. This helmet is SEI / ASTM F1163-23 certified.

    Runs small. Helmet fine; poor shopping experience though.

    I ordered two of these for my daughter and myself given the great VA Tech study review of the helmet. According to the sizing schema, we should both wear the medium (I wear a dead on 7, she wears 7 1/8. It JUST BARELY fits me with out my hair up. Too tight for her. SO I prepared to return one of them. They do not pay for return shipping, and thus it would have cost me over $20 to return a $50 hemet.. Also, the box says it is the STARTER helmet, not the one advertised here, so I am not sure this is the helmet I expected to be buying. ALSO the helmet was advertised with a "free gift," which is a pink helmet bag. One came free, but they charged me $5 for the second (to go with the second helmet, which should have had a second "free gift," by my reckoning. I will be selling the second helmet locally, and no further purchases from Breeches after this not great experience.

    Nice fit, prompt delivery

    Great delivery time and very nice fit - light weight and comfortable. Is this the same helmet rated recently by Va Tech ?

    Took almost a month to arrive

    Can't comment on the helmet yet as I ordered it over Thanksgiving weekend and it didn't arrive until December 22nd after I left town for Christmas. I know businesses are short staffed over the holidays but this is still very disappointing service. I will try it when I get back home. Hope the helmet is worth it.

    Looks okay

    Very bulky and even though I measured my head prior, it’s too big . But it fits with a hat under it, which works for winter. Just might want to buy a size smaller
