FAQs on :Henri De Rivel Parisian Monoflap IGP Dressage Saddle
What is a monoflap saddle and what are the benefits?
A monoflap saddle has a single flap rather than the traditional double flap. This reduces the bulk of leather between the rider's leg and the horse's side, allowing for a closer contact feel and more precise leg communication — especially important in dressage.
Is this saddle suitable for all levels of dressage?
Yes. The deep seat, straight flap, and wool flocked panels make this saddle appropriate for riders from Training Level through upper-level dressage.
Can the wool flocking be adjusted by a saddle fitter?
Yes. Real wool flocking can be adjusted by a qualified saddle fitter to maintain the optimal fit as the horse's back musculature develops or changes.
What gullet size is included?
A Regular width gullet is included. The IGP system allows you to swap to Narrow, Medium, Medium Wide, or X-Wide gullet plates, all sold separately.
How does the IGP system work for a dressage saddle?
The IGP system works identically across all HDR saddles — the metal gullet plate in the saddle tree head is removable and swappable, allowing the saddle to fit horses with varying wither widths without needing a separate saddle.
