FAQs on :Henri De Rivel Laureate IGP Saddle- Flocked
What is the difference between the Laureate Leather and the Laureate Flocked?
The Laureate Flocked uses real wool flocked panels instead of integrated foam panels. Wool flocking conforms more closely to an individual horse's back shape over time and can be adjusted by a professional saddle fitter for a personalised fit.
Can the wool flocking be adjusted?
Yes. Qualified saddle fitters can add or remove wool flocking to adjust the saddle's fit as your horse's musculature changes — a major advantage over fixed-foam panel saddles.
Is the Laureate Flocked suitable for competition?
Yes. The grippy covered leather, forward flap, and balanced seat make this saddle appropriate for both schooling and competition in jumping and forward-seat disciplines.
What gullet is included?
A Regular width gullet is included. The IGP system supports Narrow, Medium, Medium Wide, and X-Wide gullet plates, all sold separately.
How often should I condition the leather?
Condition after every few rides during heavy use, or at least once a month. Regular conditioning maintains the leather's grip, suppleness, and longevity.
